Is It Time To Go Stir Crazy Yet?
It's hard not to go a little loopy when you're stuck at home for days / weeks / months on end, isn't it? My last day of work was now 36 days ago, and we now find ourselves sitting on the 55th of March. Or so it seems. I feel a bit like Bill Murray in Groundhog day.. So far, we have painted the back fence, cleaned the pool, walked the dog, broken one bike, watched countless hours of Apple TV, Stan, Amazon Prime & Neflix (who knew that Covert Operations went for 5 seasons?), and have started working our way through countless murders, mysteries, kidnappings and other unspeakable crimes that adorn the bookshelf. Daughter number 2 has gotten herself on National TV with her YouTube offerings, and I have spent countless hours outside trying to work out how fast grass actually grows. The jury is still out on that one... Meanwhile, life in all it's forms seems to carry on. Toilet paper is somehow making its way back to the supermarkets again (what did we use in the meantime??), a lot of us are starting to sell our home-schooled kids on eBay, and we are all racking our brains trying to figure out those bloody visual maths equations on Facebook. And so, life goes on. Anyhow, would chat for a bit longer, but I only have limited time on my schedule. I am just about to head into Happy Hour drinks on Zoom with a bunch of colleagues from work. They tell me the drinks are half price, too...
